Genetic Moo LG return to Eureka! The National Children’s Museum

Genetic Moo have created Gecko Jam, a multi-screen collaborative drawing game and music maker. Visitors can choose a digital gecko, create an environment and nurture it.

“The inspirations for the piece includes a holiday we had in Lisbon (with its wonderful tiles), the sticky feet of Geckos and early video games, in particular Pacman.

“The geckos follow a trail of tiles drawn by visitors on a tablet. They can be fed colourful food each with a different musical note and, when they rest, they sing a song based on the food they’ve eaten. The musical sounds include flute, synth and steel pans. When the geckos sing together you have a gecko jam.”

Pixel Play features two new interactive digital installations, Gecko Jam by Genetic Moo and Circle Triangle Square (CTS) bu James Brooks. Gecko Jam is part of Pixel Play thanks to Lumen Studios.
