My practice explores boundaries, imperfection and the abject.

Working with hair, skin and dust as primary materials, I reveal and reconfigure the discarded to provoke and question dual reactions of attraction and disgust. I explore gendered expectations of the body, including the way our imperfections are received and impacted on by contemporary culture and technology. My work raises questions about what we choose to value and I am interested in how our aversion to dirt and organic matter connects with our precarious relationship to the natural world.
