Description
Persistent Place by Amanda Loomes has been been selected by Amartey Golding for the Members’ Show at OUTPOST Gallery. Persistent Place was filmed with workers and archeologists at a sand quarry in Surrey. The film considers their relationship to sand and tools, exposing the frailty and resilience of human endeavour.
Amartey works within mediums that he is not traditionally trained in, Golding’s work incorporates wig making, ballet and the making of chain mail. Born and raised Rastafarian, Amartey uses the personal context and introspective process to explore the contradictory fabric of the human condition.
