CONVERSATIONS WITH ART : Tisna Westerhof
FRIDAY 26th January 2018, 6 pm at APT

There follows a private view of Extended Systems in the gallery.

This event is part of a series of 6 conversations with artists at APT.

The third conversation of this season will be between Victoria Rance and the artist Tisna Westerhof. The work under discussion will be her new ABC which examines violence in our society by making a series of patch works which combine news images, embroidered texts and patterns. The fabrics she uses are from clothes she wore as a child sewn together with newspaper reports of refugees and police brutality.

Tisna Westerhof is a London-based artist working across a range of media. She is co-founder and artistic director of hARTslane an experimental art project space in South London.

Seating in the studio is limited. Please arrive in the downstairs gallery before 5:45 to be escorted to the studio on the second floor. The conversation will last 45 minutes (6:00 – 6:45).
