Amanda Loomes’ latest film installation opens to the public at Alice Holt Forest, Farnham, on 10th July. This important long-term project was commissioned by the Forestry Commission.
Alice Holt Forest,
Farnham, GU10 4LS,
from the 10th July – 1st September.
The project has been a number of years in the making and follows the life cycle of timber production from seed to sawmill, all told from the unique perspective of people who work in the industry. A sustainably sourced timber structure houses the films deep within the forest, providing an intimate and immersive experience. As well as the installation the forest has some beautiful walking trails and a cafe. All are welcome.
The work has been commissioned by the Forestry Commission to celebrate 100 years of forestry.
