Amanda Loomes – The Custody Code

Amanda Loomes’ latest film installation The Custody Code will be moving to Kielder Forest for the Autumn, 18 September – 1 December. For more information please visit

Below is an image from the previous installation of The Custody Code at Alice Holt Forest.

For those of you that are unable to make it to Kielder (!) the sound track to The Custody Code will be broadcast on Resonance FM on Monday 16 September from 11.30am – 12.00pm and then again on Friday 20 September from 3.30pm – 4.00pm.

The project has been a number of years in the making and follows the life cycle of timber production from seed to sawmill, all told from the unique perspective of people who work in the industry. A sustainably sourced timber structure houses the films deep within the forest, providing an intimate and immersive experience. As well as the installation the forest has some beautiful walking trails and a cafe. All are welcome.

The work has been commissioned by the Forestry Commission to celebrate 100 years of forestry.
