The London Group Members’ Annual Exhibition 2010 was held in June at The Cello Factory, 33-34 Cornwall Rd, SE1 8TJ a beautiful, double-height space yet also intimate and congenial. Located conveniently close to Waterloo Station and the South Bank.
Over 60 members exhibited works, displaying the wide range of style and influences that is a hallmark of the Group. For the first time, an electronic display of five other works by each of the exhibiting members was also shown in the gallery, allowing visitors to obtain a more complete impression of each artist's current ouvre.
The next London Group exhibition will be "Inspiration: Part 2", at Kensington and Chelsea College from 22 September 2010. This show will build on the success of "Inspiration: Part 1", held earlier in the year, in which Group members cited key influences in their own artistic development and exhibited works demonstrating this.

The Open Exhibition will continue the biennial pattern re-established to wide acclaim in 2007.
It will once again offer a valuable platform for artists to display their work at a central London venue alongside that of current members of The London Group. Work in all styles and mediums (except performance) will be considered for inclusion.
Seven prizes are available for award to externally submitted works, comprising
a cash prize of £500
Five cash prizes of £100 each
A £500 bursary from John Jones for use in any of their departments
20% John Jones framing discount for all successful applicants.
The prize winners will be selected by Albert Irvin RA, a previous member of The London Group for some 40 years, who will also open the exhibition.
'The object of the London Group is to advance public awareness of contemporary visual art by holding exhibitions annually containing whenever possible non-members work'
This was the mission statement of The London Group after its formation in 1913, as a loose affiliation of like-minded artists, and it remains unchanged in that objective to this day.
The Group currently comprises over 80 active members.
