London Group video artist David Theobald has won second place in the Chaiya Art awards 2018 with his rapid-prototyped-Jesus film.
The Chaiya awards are the UK’s newest theme based biennial art award with a top prize of £10,000. David Theobald won second place (The Addison Prize).
The Chaiya award comes with an exhibition on over Easter at London’s prestigious gallery@oxo located on the busy South Bank Riverside. The award this year had the intriguing theme: Where is God in our 21st century world? There is a book accompanying the show with the 60+ longlisted artists.
