Victoria Rance
My work is concerned with creating spaces for people to inhabit, either actually or in the imagination.
It investigates human interaction within different physical and social environments.
The spaces have different psychological effects, and create ambivalent feelings, for example safety, containment and imprisonment.
I am influenced by architecture and functional objects, both contemporary and historic, and am interested in the interplay between functionality and art.
