Victoria Bartlett
Victoria Bartlett’s current works are made of paper and other materials moulded and formed into relief sculpture. Her ideas are drawn from the anthropology of the objects we choose and the environment we create. She uses quiet translucent colours in her images and varied white surfaces which respond to shifting light and shadow . Her early solo exhibitions were in the U.S.A. 1974-6 also at the Camden Art Centre, London and Edward Totah Gallery 1981, Gallerie Simoncini, Luxembourg 1985, Benjamin Rhodes Gallery, London 1987 and 1991, Peralta Pictures 1994 and Piers Feetham Gallery 2007. She exhibited at the Chicago International Art Fair 1995 and also with Browse & Darby Gallery 1994-2005. Group exhibitions in the UK include the London Group since 1978 , the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions also exhibitions in Australia, France, Poland, U.S.A. and Luxembourg. |
