My work involves images of manmade and natural forms.
For many years I have loved and studied the classical art of relief sculpture. Here tangible space is condensed between two and three dimensions and imaginative space between illusion and actuality. Images are of myth and life, surreality and allegory.
Instead of the permanence of the stone and bronze of the past I use material and matter of today. Paper, print and mixed media; forms and surfaces which are flexible and respond to change with the transitory differences of light and shadow.
